For auto repair shops
Does ChatGPT recommend your auto repair shop?
“Honest mechanic near me” is one of the most asked local questions, and AI answers it with names. Locan tells you every week whether your shop is one of them, and what to fix if it is not.
- Every country, every language
- Read-only, nothing is changed for you

What your customers ask AI
Every one of these is answered with names. Is yours there?
Questions people put to ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode when they look for a mechanic. The answer is the dealership, or you.
- “honest mechanic near me for a check engine light”
- “best garage for a BMW service in town”
- “cheap tyre change near me today”
- “car air conditioning repair with good reviews”
Locan reads your category, Google reviews and website, then writes the questions people type when they look for your services, in the local language, the way locals type them, never with your name. You edit, add and remove. No cap on questions.

What the tracker tells you about your auto repair shop
- 1
Whether AI names you, per question
For every question, whether ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode name your auto repair shop, how often and in which position, with the raw answers of the latest run. 3 samples per question, because one answer tells you nothing.
- 2
Who they recommend instead
The auto repair shops AI names when it does not name you, and the websites it trusts for auto repair shops in your city, with whether you are listed on each.
- 3
What to fix, highest impact first
An action plan with the listing text ready to paste, in the local language, and what AI gets wrong about your hours, phone, address and website.

Questions auto repair shops ask us
Does AI recommend independent shops or only dealerships? +
Both, depending on the question. For a brand service it often names the dealership; for “honest” or “cheap” it names independents with specific, recent reviews. Locan shows which questions you win and which go to the dealership.
We do many things: tyres, brakes, MOT, air conditioning. +
Each is its own question set. Locan generates them for your city and you keep the ones you want. The fixes tell you which services are missing from your profile and site, which is usually why AI does not connect you to them.
Can my agency or web person use it? +
Yes. Invite them as a member of your workspace at no extra cost. They see the same report and the fix list, and can mark fixes done.
What does it cost for one auto repair shop? +
Plans start at $39 a month billed yearly, or $49 month to month, in US dollars with tax included. The Basic plan covers one auto repair shop checked weekly on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode with about 20 questions. Run the free check on this page and you are offered a free month of the Basic plan; cancel before it ends and you pay nothing.
